Tet is in the air! (46 photos)

This past weekend, Miss Vietnam DC 2013 Pageant winners Vicenta Tran and Tuyet Nhi Le visited several different “Hoi Cho Tet” (Vietnamese New Year Festivals) at Langley High School, Jeb Stuart High School, and the Holy Martyrs of Vietnam Church, where they had many great opportunities to support the community and experience a taste for Tet.

They met with community leaders, had impromptu interviews on camera and on stage, and met children from different scout troops such as Phu Xuan, Phong Chau and Hong Bang. They also met with members of the Viet Literature Association and doctors from the Vietnamese American Mid Atlantic Medical Association along with many other community organizations.

They helped the church raise funds by selling lotto tickets, which they completely sold out each session! And of course, what would Hoi Cho Tet be without yummy exotic Viet dishes, as Vicenta and Tuyet-Nhi enjoy a steaming bowl of Bun Rieu and other festival treats. They had a fabulous time and looking forward to more events next weekend!

Here are a few recap pictures of the weekend. We hope everyone is having fun preparing for the Lunar New Year!
