Chinese New Year: Shenzhen Pop Music Show

FREE on the Millennium Stage, no tickets required. This performance features pop music artists from Shenzhen, including the band Jam You, female singers Tsinger and Majia Jiado, male singer Ray M, and rappers Too Phat.

Chinese New Year: Family Day Activities

FREE throughout the day, no tickets required. Activities highlighting Chinese culture will be offered for kids of all ages–from Chinese paper cutting lessons to Beijing Opera stage makeup demonstration and costume dress-up.

Chinese New Year: Shenzhen Lily Girls’ Choir

FREE on the Millennium Stage, no tickets required. Regarded as a cultural calling card of the city of Shenzhen, Lily Girls’ Choir–comprised of students from Shenzhen Senior High School–perform a program of choral music.

Chinese New Year: Beijing Opera, Acrobats, and Chinese Traditional Music by Henan Arts Troupe
MON, FEB 8, 6:00 PM, 2016
FREE on the Millennium Stage, no tickets required. Performers from Henan Province showcase Beijing Opera–combining singing, speaking, acting, and martial arts–with stunning acrobatics and music on pipa, erhu, and bamboo flute.

Chinese New Year: Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra

The culmination of a weekend of events celebrating Chinese New Year, the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, featuring pianist Haochen Zhang and violinist Dan Zhu, makes its Kennedy Center debut under the baton of Muhai Tang.
