On Tuesday, February 10, Washington National Cathedral will welcome the Buddhist monks as part of the final days of their 2,300-mile Walk for Peace.

This stop will include an interfaith welcome at the West Front of the Cathedral and moments of reflection and prayer. All are invited to join us outside for this powerful gathering centered on peace, gratitude, and hope as the Walk for Peace continues toward the National Mall. The monks are expected to arrive at approximately 1 pm.
Note for Attendees:
The Cathedral is located at 3101 Wisconsin Ave
Parking will not be available in the Cathedral garage or on the Cathedral grounds.
Public Transportation: Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) can drop off at the National Cathedral. The closest Metro stop is the Tenleytown/American University station on the red line. The C51, C85, D80, D82, and D90 bus lines all provide service within 1/4th of a mile of the Cathedral.
gathering with interfaith leaders
Following the outside welcome and prayers (at approximately 1:30), the monks will gather with interfaith leaders inside the Cathedral. The inside gathering is closed to in-person attendance. A livestream of the indoor gathering will be available below and on our YouTube Channel.
