HUMAN RIGHTS SITUATION IN VIETNAM
Washington, D.C. (July 23, 2013) – Reps. Frank Wolf (R-VA), Chris Smith (R-NJ), Ted Poe (R-TX), Edward Royce (R-CA), Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), former Louisiana Rep. Joseph Cao and human rights activists, including several Vietnamese-American community leaders, will hold a press conference Wednesday, July 24, 2013 to discuss Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang’s meeting with President Obama later this week, the deteriorating human rights situation in Vietnam and the importance of these issues being featured prominently in any high-level bilateral discussions.
