COUNSELOR TOM SHANNON
Counselor Shannon is on travel to Pakse, Laos, Hanoi, Vietnam, and United States Pacific Command (PACOM) from January 30 through February 7. Counselor Shannon will be accompanied by Senior Advisor to the Secretary Ambassador David Thorne to lead the U.S. delegation to the Extraordinary Meeting of the Friends of the Lower Mekong in Pakse, Laos on February 2. On February 3, Counselor Shannon and Ambassador Thorne will travel to Vietnam to discuss U.S.-Vietnam priorities. At PACOM,Counselor Shannon will consult with military leaders on issues in the East Pacific region.
