SOUTHWEST WATERFRONT FIREWORKS FESTIVAL FEATURES DAY OF ENTERTAINMENT PRIOR TO FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR
Washington, DC [March 3, 2015] — On Saturday, April 4 enjoy the Southwest Waterfront Fireworks Festival, presented by Proctor & Gamble, along Water Street, SW between 650 Water Street, SW to the Titanic Memorial Park from 1:00-9:00pm. Celebrate spring with the Southwest Waterfront community, home of the cherry blossoms, with eight hours of free entertainment. Enjoy live music at three performance areas, waterrelated activities, cultural experiences, food trucks, and more. New this year, the event concludes with the spectacular Fireworks Show at 8:30pm on a floating stage over the historic Washington Channel. The event is rain or shine.
The Southwest Waterfront is easily accessible by Metro’s Orange, Blue, Yellow and Green lines to L’Enfant Plaza or Metro’s Green line to Waterfront-SEU. The event is also an easy ride on Metrobus or bicycle via Capital Bikeshare to Water Street, SW.
The Southwest Waterfront Fireworks Festival is presented by Procter and Gamble and supported by The Wharf: Hoffman-Madison Waterfront, Entertainment Cruises, and media sponsors BIG 100.3 and HOT 99.5.
The National Cherry Blossom Festival is the nation’s greatest springtime celebration.
