Contact: Neville Waters (202) 645-6020; neville.waters2@dc.gov
The Chairman of the DC Taxicab Commission has determined that weather conditions warrant an extension of the authorization for District taxicabs to charge the Snow Emergency Fare. This action is effective until Monday, January 25, 2016 at 9:30 am. The Snow Emergency Fare requires DC taxi drivers to add a flat fee of $15.00 to the metered charge.
MetroAccess service is suspended on Saturday January 23 and Sunday January 24; therefore no trips will be provided through Transport DC. If a customer has any feedback regarding service or other issues please contact karl.muhammad2@dc.gov or thedford.collins@dc.gov.
All drivers are advised to monitor the DCTC web site to be aware of possible extensions or changes. Riders that encounter service problems are advised to contact DCTC at 855-484-4966 or DCTC3@dc.gov and provide a brief message describing the issue.
