Free festival celebrates spring and the gift of trees
WHAT
This Saturday, March 26, the National Building Museum and the National Cherry Blossom Festival present National Cherry Blossom Festival® Family Day, a free event for all ages from 9 am to 5 pm. Celebrate springtime in our nation’s capital and in the parks and green spaces in your life by joining us for a day of hands-on crafts, activities, and games focused on parks, planning, landscape architecture, and Japanese arts and design.
Among the offerings, people can:
Fold origami masterpieces
Design a memorial for the National Mall
Construct a tatebanko diorama
Meet duAro, Kawasaki’s drawing robot
Connect with the National Park Service and its Centennial celebrations

Free, drop in program. No registration required.
