ABOUT
The 25th National Japan Bowl championship rounds will be held on April 7th, 2017 at National 4-H Youth Conference Center. No registration is required to observe the championship rounds of the competition, and the event is free of charge. The Japan Bowl® is an academic competition for high school students across the nation who are studying Japanese. It tests not only their knowledge of Japanese language, but also their understanding of Japanese history, culture, and society. The format is modeled on the popular local quiz show, “It’s Academic.” Teams from across the nation compete for two days at three different levels, depending on how long they have studied Japanese. Created in 1992, now over 200 students from across the US, from Guam to New York participate in the National Japan Bowl.
