In partnership with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF), we present a panel discussion about the history and legacy of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, dedicated on November 13, 1982. Dr. Mark Lawrence, Associate Professor of History at the University of Texas at Austin and author of The Vietnam War: A Concise International History, will moderate the discussion. Participants will include Jan Scruggs, founder and president emeritus (VwVMF), Jim Knotts, president and CEO (VVMF), author and historian Kristin Ann Hass (Carried to the Wall: American Memory and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial), and Duery Felton, Jr., former and first curator, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Collection.
