WHAT: Independence Day National Pole Vault Championships
WHEN: Thursday, July 4 2019 from 12:30 PM – 11 PM
WHERE: RFK STADIUM
Description: The first ever Team Pole Vault Championships will be hosted on the RFK campus at the DC Vault training facility on July 4th. Male and female athletes ages 5 to 50 will compete in respective age groups for points awarded to their team. This event is free to spectators and leashed dogs are welcome! Flight 1 (0.0m – 3.19m):
12:30pm-1:30pm – check-in & pole pickup/drop-off
1:00pm-2:00pm – warmups
2:00pm – competition
Flight 2 (3.20m – 3.99m):
12:30pm-1:30pm – check-in & pole pickup/drop-off
1:00pm-2:00pm – warmups
2:00pm – competition
Flight 3 (4.0m +):
3:00pm-4:00pm – check-in & pole pickup/drop-off
3:30-4:30pm – warmups
4:30pm – competition
Additional:
2:00pm – Fire up the grill for Free BBQ
5:30pm – Pole drop-off for those attending the National Fireworks
9:00pm – National Fireworks!
11:00pm – Pole Pickup
